Description

This presentation will share the experiences of using uReply, a cloud-based Classroom Response System (CRS), for participants attending Learning and Teaching Development Programme (LTDP). LTDP aims for newly hired university teachers, postgraduate students, and others interested in adapting quickly to a Liberal Arts environment. Out of the 7 LTDP units, uReply was used in 2 Units, entitled “Innovative learning & teaching: Creating an IT-supported lesson I & II”, in examining the types of closed-ended and open-ended online assessments to promote interactive learning through active and experiential learning. The use of uReply not only engaged student learning but also informed the authors of the students’ understanding of the content knowledge. It was observed that participants were very attentive and participated actively in various classroom activities with the use of the uReply system.
