Professor Joshua Mok, Dean of School of Graduate Studies and Co-Director of LU-SCUT Joint Research Centre for Greater Bay Area – Social Policy and Governance, was invited by the Professional Development & Training Division of the Education Bureau, HKSAR Government to provide professional training for school teachers in order to prepare them to go for field visits in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Professor Mok shared with over 100 professional teachers about the policy context, development strategies and recent developments of the Greater Bay Area in South China. Based upon a recent survey conducted by the LU-SCUT Joint Research Centre in April 2019, Professor Mok also shared with the participants how Hong Kong young people perceived and evaluated the development opportunities in the GBA. These professional teachers, after participating in this professional training session, will go to the GBA for a study visit led by the Education Bureau as part of the professional development and training programme for school teachers.
