Description
Research is a lifestyle choice. We choose to engage in research because we love it. That's why we spend long hours enjoying it. Research is also a life-long experience. There is always someone to learn from in one's life.
Great researchers have great abilities in identifying fundamental research problems, formulating deep research questions, providing insightful answers, and articulating future impact. All these aspects reflect their excellent tastes in research. How do they do that? How could we learn from them? How to develop good taste in research?
Unfortunately, I won't be able to provide answers to these questions. Instead, I'll share some of my personal observations and little things I have learned by focusing on more "mundane" tasks such as literature review, problem formulation, and paper writing.
