Description

The workshop aims to enhance local secondary 4 and 5 students’ skills of critical thinking and English speaking and to advance their awareness of how migrant domestic workers are being stigmatised and portrayed in media stories about their mistreatment. The participants are introduced to fundamental concepts and methods for researching applied linguistics with a particular focus on corpus-assisted critical discourse analysis (CACDA).
