Biography

After receiving his Ph.D. from Purdue University, USA, Dr. Lam served for various multi-national companies in Beijing, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney and Hong Kong. In the 90s, he served as Director of Human Resources Greater China for a Canadian telecom equipment provider, and then Vice President Human Resources Asia Pacific for two “Fortune 500” companies. After that, he was appointed Managing Director of a leading executive search firm in Asia, and more recently Executive Vice President Human Resources and Corporate Development for a well-established Hong Kong listed company. Dr. Lam has practical global human resources and management experience having lived and worked in the USA and across Asia Pacific. He was the winner of “Outstanding Contribution to HR” of the Hong Kong HR Award. Academically, he served as Adjunct Professor of City University of Hong Kong, Chairman of Department Advisor Committee (Department of Management) of City University of Hong Kong, and as Visiting Lecturer for the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lam is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Director and Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. He served as Independent Non-Executive Director for two Hong Kong listed companies in the last 5 years.
