Biography

Hongyi Zhan is a Ph.D. Student in Government and International Affairs and Part-Time Teaching Assistant at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. Prior to his doctorate study at Lingnan, Hongyi has been serving as Research Assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Baptist University successively for almost two years, where he was mainly conducting pedagogy studies, including but not limited to the national education and research development of higher education. He holds an M.A. in International Studies from City University of Hong Kong.
 
Hongyi's research interest centers on comparative politics. More specifically, he is interested in exploring identity politics, political trust, public opinion, migration politics, and electoral politics, with taking Greater China as a particular regional focus.
