Biography

Jan Erron R. Celebrado (pronouns: he/him/siya) is a Filipino researcher who is currently pursuing his PhD in Sociology and Social Policy at Lingnan University, Hong Kong SAR, with support from the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme and the Belt and Road Scholarship. Employing qualitative methodologies, his research interest lies at the intersection of gender, disability, and development studies within sociology and psychology. His current research concentrates on surfacing the nuanced narratives of migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong, with a particular focus on their utilization of formal and informal mental health support. He holds a Master of Arts in Women and Development from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila.
