Biography
Jiaxing Shen received a B.E. degree in Software Engineering from Jilin University in 2014, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2019. He was a visiting scholar at the Media Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017.
His research theme is Human Dynamics which aims to understand human behavior and provide actionable insights via cross-disciplinary approaches. Under the theme, his research interests include mobile computing, data mining, and IoT systems. His research has been published in top-tier journals such as IEEE TMC, IEEE TKDE, ACM TOIS, and ACM IMWUT. He obtained two best paper awards including one from IEEE INFOCOM 2020.
