Biography

Prof. Wei obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and completed her PhD in Finance from the University of Hong Kong in 2016. She is a life-time member of Beta Gama Sigma Business Society and a research fellow at the Centre for Financial Innovation and Development in the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include corporate finance, FinTech, financial reporting, capital market regulations and corporate innovation. Her papers have been presented in conferences including American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting, Western Finance Association (WFA) Annual Meeting, Society for Financial Studies (SFS) Cavalcades, Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, and China International Conference in Finance (CICF), circulated as the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) working paper, featured on Harvard Law School Corporate Governance Forum, and published or forthcoming in journals such as The Accounting ReviewJournal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of Law and Economics.
