Biography
Prof. Echo Shang obtained her Ph.D. and from the Department of Public Policy, City University of Hong Kong. She joined Lingnan University in August 2021. Before that, she worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Social Work of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Research Associate at the Centre for Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interest includes the development and processes of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Her recent research has focused a lot on exploring the roles and mechanisms of hybrid organizations in delivering social services, particularly concerning the relationships between public management and civil society deliverers.
She teaches Policy Research and Evaluation Design and Comparative Social Indicators and Research Methods.
