Michal is an Associate Professor and a global citizen with 13 years of teaching experience across multiple disciplines. A Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) and SEDA-Recognised Leader in Technology-Enhanced Learning, he has taught undergraduate and master’s courses in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, and Econometrics at institutions in the UK, China, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. Michal has supervised more than 70 bachelor’s and master’s theses to successful completion. His teaching interests include Corporate and International Finance, Financial Institutions & Markets, Investment & Portfolio Management, and FinTech. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Energy Economics, The European Journal of Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Environmental Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Finance and Economics, and Financial Innovation. Outside academia, Michal enjoys lifting hefty weights, hiking, and exploring the world with his wife and two children, Lily and Michael Jr.
