Biography

Dr. Tual Sawn Khai earned his PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Lingnan University in Hong Kong in 2023. He also holds a Master's degree in Social Services and Development from the Asian Social Institute in Manila, the Philippines in 2019, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Kalay University in Myanmar, in 2012.

Khai research focuses on several pressing issues, including contemporary affairs in Myanmar, forced migration, refugees, displacement, human rights, welfare policies, climate change, and the social determinants of health issues in Asia.

Khai has been proactively engaged in human rights and social development efforts for more than five years in Myanmar, working with both government organizations and non-governmental organizations.
