Biography
Prof. Tang completed her social work training at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She worked at the Medical Social Work Unit, Integrated Family Service Center and Integrated Youth Service Centre during and after her undergraduate study. She received her MPhil in Gender Studies and PhD in Social Welfare at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is currently Research Assistant Professor of Asia Pacific Institute of Ageing. Prior of joining the Lingnan University, she was the project manager and researcher of a number of government-funded longitudinal policy research projects and consultation/evaluation studies on low-income families, elderly, childcare services and youth services. Her main research areas are poverty and social security, social capital and social exclusion, well-being and quality of life, childcare, grandparenting and program evaluation.
