Biography

Prof. Liang Wen-chun Wayne received his PhD in Interpreting and Translation Studies from Newcastle University, U.K. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Translation Programme of Hong Kong Baptist University for eight years and joined the Department of Translation at Lingnan University in January 2019. His research interests include literary translation, sociology of translation, translation of less-serious literature, translation of regional literature, and translation and interpreting pedagogy. He is currently working on a research project about the translation of traditional Chinese medicine through neural machine translation. His academic articles have appeared in Perspectives, Babel, mTm, SPECTRUM, Journal of Children’s Literature (Taiwan). He is a member of European Society for Translation Studies and a life member of Taiwan Association of Translation and Interpretation
