Prof. Xiaofeng Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Insurance at Lingnan University. He obtained his PhD degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before pursuing his PhD, he obtained the B.A., M.Sc., and M.Phil. degrees in Lingnan University. His current research interests are in the area of corporate finance, including corruption and political connections, corporate governance, executive compensation, corporate transparency, and corporate innovation. One of his works received the Hong Kong Asian Capital Market Research Prize awarded by CFA Institute and HKSFA. His papers have been presented or accepted for presentation in international institutions and conferences including Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, Financial Management Association (FMA) European Conference, Asian Bureau of Finance And Economic Research (ABFER) Conference, and Asian Finance Association (AsianFA) Conference.
