Biography
David Yuen-Tung Chan is a research assistant professor at the School of Graduate Studies and a centre fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies at Lingnan University. He got a PhD degree in human geography (economic geography) in 2020; a master's degree in China Development Studies (distinction) in 2016; and a bachelor's degree in China Economics Studies (1st class honor) in 2015 from Hong Kong Baptist University and University of Hong Kong. His research interests cover regional development in China and Southeast Asia, globalization, digitalization, industrial transformation, urbanization, global production networks, and global value chains by using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
