Description

By tracing the historical evolution of the key terms and concepts of Chinese Literary, Prof Cai’s funded project entitled ”A Critical History of Chinese Literary Thought” attempts to perceive an inner coherence of Chinese literary thought and to explain the reasons for uncomplimentary view of Chinese literary thought, in hope of bringing Chinese literary thought into the mainstream literary scholarship.

HSSPFS is a prestigious fund. It aims at granting outstanding investigators with a proven track record of research and publication to enable them to build on a research program that is already well defined and developed, leading to significant advances in knowledge, insights of interest or value to the research community. This year the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme received a total of 22 applications from UGC-funded institutions. Three were granted funding with Prof Cai’s project being one of them.
