Abstract

In terms of literary creation everyone has experienced directly or indirectly drawing on masters of present or past times .Generally speaking, men of letters, including those in Hong Kong, have to go through three stages in their literary creation limitation of modern writers, of ancient ones and creative transformation. That is, firstly, they immerse themselves in the works of modern
writers and subconsciously benefit from them .Secondly they get to imitate the works of present and past times, and finally, they, based on their imitation and study, start to make creative transformation. This paper analyses such a phenomenon and regular pat tern and recounts my personal experience in this aspect.
