Abstract

亞裔學生在國際比試中彪炳的成績引起近年「儒家文化圈」學習現象的許多研究。部份以實地取得之數據作為剖析,另一些卻嘗試歸結到儒家思想、甚至孔孟之片言隻字。本文欲從方法論上考慮,提出此類研究應慎防論證中「過度儒家化」之傾向。

The brilliant academic performance among Asian students in international comparisons has initiated an abundance of research on the "Confucian Heritage Culture" Learning Phenomenon. While some have relied on empirical data, others have tried to attribute the academic success to Confucianism in general and the words of Confucius and Mencius in particular. The aim of the present paper is to raise, from a methodological perspective, the need of safeguarding from "over-Confucianisation" in various arguments.
