Abstract
「六月棲棲」一句出自《詩經•小雅•六月》。《詩序》指出：「〈六月〉，宣王北伐也。」朱熹（1130-1200）《詩集傳》曰：「成、康既沒，周室寢衰，八世而厲王胡暴虐，周人逐之，出居于彘。玁犹內侵，逼近京邑。王崩，子宣王靖即位，命尹吉甫帥師伐之，有功而歸。詩人作歌以敘其事如此。」方玉潤（1811-1883）《詩經原始》：「蓋事本北伐，而詩則作自私燕；王本親征，而將則佐以吉甫；戰本同臨，追奔則止命元戎。」這首詩是寫尹吉甫佐周宣王伐玁狁，詩意十分明顯歷來沒有多大的爭議。然而對本詩首句的「棲棲」，前人有幾種木同的訓釋，本文將引述各家說法，並作平議。
