戲棚搭建技藝

戲棚是以竹木搭建的臨時場所，供地方組織籌辦神誕、盂蘭勝會或太平清醮等活動用作上演神功戲。戲棚具有「隨建隨拆」特性，整個搭建過程全憑師傅的經驗，按不同地形和需求作出最合宜的判斷，利用原始材料包括竹、杉木、篾等，不用一口釘或一根螺絲，僅用綁紮的方式搭建成穩固的戲棚，充分體現了中國傳統的建築智慧。

這項源遠流長的傳統技藝，於2017年獲列入香港非物質文化遺產代表作名錄。本書聚焦戲棚的歷史流變及其製作技藝，以圖文並茂的方式輔以手繪插圖呈現工序，述及其傳承體系和背後所承載的文化意義。

<eng>The opera stage is a temporary structure built from bamboo and wood, set up by local organizations to host performances of divine operas during events such as deity birthdays, the Hungry Ghost Festival, or the Taiping Qingjiao ritual. The opera stage is characterized by its "built-as-needed and dismantled-after-use" nature. The entire construction process relies solely on the expertise of skilled craftsmen, who make the most appropriate decisions based on different terrains and requirements. Using raw materials such as bamboo, cedar wood, and rattan, the stage is assembled without a single nail or screw; it is held together entirely by binding techniques, fully embodying the wisdom of traditional Chinese architecture.

This long-standing traditional craft was inscribed on the Hong Kong Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2017. This book focuses on the historical evolution and construction techniques of the opera stage, presenting the process through richly illustrated text and hand-drawn diagrams. It also discusses the system of transmission and the cultural significance embodied in this heritage.
