粤劇與改編 : 論唐滌生的經典作品

Abstract

唐滌生為粵劇界一個重要的編劇家,他將粵劇與古典戲曲接軌,大大豐富了粵劇的文學元素。他所改編的粵劇作品包括《牡丹亭驚夢》、《帝女花》、《紫釵記》、《蝶影紅梨記》和《再世紅梅記》等,皆成傳頌之作。 兩位作者認為改編可以是一種「創造」,改編者可被視為原著的一個特殊讀者,在改編過程中有意識地「誤讀」(misreading)原作。所謂「誤讀」,就是一種「創造性背叛」(creative treason):文學作品被不同讀者出於自身需要而加以利用,其真正的面目就會被發掘及改造。改編者同時亦變為創造者,賦予作品以時代性演繹,使古典作品也注入新生命。 本書收錄了兩位作者解讀唐滌生八部經典作品的論文集,分析唐滌生在改編過程中,如何對原作加以改造和利用,達到「創造性背叛」的藝術效果。 <eng> Cantonese opera is one of the four main operatic dramas of Guangdong province. Tong Dik Sang is an admired and important scriptwriter. Starting with his adaptation of Cheung Yuk Kiu: A Heroine for All Time 萬世留芳張玉喬 in 1954, Tong Dik Sang has produced several renowned classics of Cantonese opera. His collaboration with Sin Fung Ming Opera Troupe 仙鳳鳴 is a perfect match. Among the more than 200 Cantonese opera scripts in existence, the work produced in the Sin Fung Ming period continues to have great impact today. This book is a novel study of Tong Dik Sang’s work from the perspective of literary analysis. Ye Shaode葉紹德, who was also a scriptwriter, published six of Tong Di Sang’s scripts, including An Interrupted Dream in the Peony Pavilion 牡丹亭驚夢 (1956), The Story of Horse Selling販馬記 (1956), The Floral Princess帝女花 (1957), The Purple Hairpin紫釵記 (1957), The Butterfly Shadow and Red Pear Blossoms蝶影紅梨記 (1957), and The Reincarnation of Lady Plum Blossom再世紅梅記 (1959), in Tong Dik Sang Xiqu Xinshang唐滌生戲曲欣賞 (1987-88). This book studies these plays and three others: The Lute Story 琵琶記, June Snow六月雪, and The Musk Bag Story香囊記.
