Abstract

本文以神話和民俗角度切入, 探討螺女型故事:《原化記 . 吳堪》。螺女之載, 最早見漢墓畫像所載墓頂石中的大螺。螺女故事的蘊釀期, 當在漢代, 至(東晉)《搜神後記》〈白水素女〉正式成立。(晚唐)《原化記 . 吳堪》, 加入難題奪婚情節為轉捩點之作。篇中螺女出現亦螺亦人的變形情節。螺女由螺變人的變形, 亦可追溯至南陽漢墓中的畫像之載。

This research paper adopts the view points of mythology and folk custom to study "Wu Kan". The first record of the Spiral Shell Goddess can be traced back to the tomb paintings of the Han Dynasty. "Baishui Sunu" in Soushen Houji is the first story of the Spiral Shell Goddess while "Wu Kan" serves as a turning point in the development of the stories of the Spiral Shell Goddess. In "Wu Kan", there is even the metamorphosts of the Spiral Shell Goddess.
