Abstract
《规范性：思想和意义之基/当代中国社会道德理论与实践研究丛书》旨在探讨作为哲学解释之元概念的规范性。探讨的两条轴线是：1.在广义自然主义框架下处理人类理性层面的规范性及其与某种植根于自然进化的深层内隐规范之问的关系；2.考察作为元概念的规范性对一系列相关理论概念、题旨的某种奠基性作用，由此展示其解释力及整合力。这两条轴线虽有重叠或交织，但大致上对应着两大问题域：前者关乎规范性的起源问题，或者说涉及理由与因果的历时关系；后者关乎规范性在哲学大厦中的地位问题，或者说涉及理由与因果的共时关系。
规范性正日益成为当代主流哲学中的一个核心观念。它与一系列重要概念诸如理由、语义、意向、自由、因果等的关系，它对一系列相关领域理论难题的解释效力，均关联到它的深层结构和理论地位。初步揭示这一结构和地位是《规范性：思想和意义之基/当代中国社会道德理论与实践研究丛书》的基本目标。

The book explores the notion of normativity qua a meta-concept in philosophical explanations. The book has two main objectives: i.e., first, within a broad naturalist framework, it tries to explain various normative phenomena on the level of human rationality and their generic relationship with certain implicit natural norms rooted in natural evolution; second, it aims to show the unified explanatory power of this meta-concept of normativity by examining how it plays a distinctive role in making or grounding a whole range of theoretical concepts and themes. Although the lines of argument following the two objectives often have intertwining parts, two distinct questions are largely recognizable: one is about the naturalistic origin of normativity, or the diachronic relationship between reasons and causes while the other concerns the status of normativity in the entire edifice of philosophy, or the synchronic relationship between reasons and causes.
Normativity is becoming one of the most central notions in the mainstream contemporary philosophy. Understanding its deeper structure and theoretical status bears on many other important concepts such as reason, meaning, intention, freedom, and causation, as well as on (potential) resolution of many theoretical problems in relevant domains. In this respect, the book might count as one of initial attempts at revealing such structure and status.
Hopefully the book can bring about some inspiration for its readers to wonder or explore the unity of reason and nature, and perhaps have impact on the consciousness of Chinese readers/researchers about some of the major questions in analytic philosophy.
