Abstract
社区词是社会区域词的简称,它和文言词、方言词、外来词一起,构成现代汉语词汇一般词语的组成部分和重要来源。社区词不是方言词。香港社区词反映香港社会多年来的政治、经济、文化等各方面的社会特征,以及香港人使用词语的心理因素。香港社区词仍以通用语素作为构词语素,因而有进入现代汉语词汇的资格。本文主要从香港社区词的社会来源、构词特点以及在报刊的出现频率等几个方面,来考察这类词的特点,并提出香港社区词的广义、狭义之分,以及如何划分香港社区词和香港流通的方言词、外来词的界限问题。
Community word is the short form of community region word. These words, together with classical Chinese words, dialectal words, and loan words, are the constituents and important sources of the general words of the lexis of modern Chinese language. Community words are distinct from dialectal words. Hong Kong community words reflect the Hong Kong's social characteristics that have formed over many years, in terms of politics, economy, and culture, and the psychological factors of Hong Kongers in their use of words. For adopting general morphemes in the usual way as the morphemes of their word formation, Hong Kong community words qualify for becoming a member of the lexis of modern Chinese language. This article examines the features of this category of words mainly from the aspects of their social origin, characteristics of word formation and frequency in newspapers and magazines. Also discussed are the classification of broadsense and narrowsense Hong Kong community words, and such issues as the differentiation between Hong Kong community words and the dialectal words commonly used in Hong Kong, and the limits of loan words.
