黄竹坑故事 : 從河谷平原到創協坊

本書由協成行發展有限公司策劃，主要以黃竹坑的工廈活化為主題，同時講述了黃竹坑發展的歷程。結合口述與文獻資料，本書以八個關鍵詞組織全書內容，分別是河谷平原、古村落、早期建築、工業區、公共房屋、休憩與娛樂、商貿區及活化工廈。順_這八個關鍵詞，讀者就能由黃竹坑的遠古年代一氣呵成地走到今天：先從地理環境與古老聚落入手了解早期建築的時空背景；然後認識黃竹坑工業區、公共房屋及休憩與娛樂設施之間的互動發展；最後看到黃竹坑如何在開闢商貿區及活化工廈的政策下注入新動力。 <eng> This book is primarily a detailed history of the district of Wong Chuk Hang, with a particular focus on the growth and revitalization of industrial buildings in that region in the southern part of Hong Kong Island. Based on both written and oral sources, this book is divided into eight thematic sections, namely “Valley Plain,” “Old Villages,” “Early Architecture,” “Industrial Zone,” “Public Housing,” “Leisure and Entertainment,” “Industrial Quarters,” and “Revitalization of Industrial Buildings.” Between these eight thematic sections, readers can gain a comprehensive knowledge of the history of Wong Chuk Hang from antiquity to the present day: from its historical geography and early settlements, we can understand the spatial context for its early architecture; then, the readers proceed to learn about the dynamic relationship between the growth of its commercial quarters, public housing, and areas for leisure and entertainment; and at the end of the book, the readers learn about how the district was reinvigorated under the various policies for expanding its commercial and trading sectors and revitalization of old industrial buildings.
