Abstract

Suicide is a global public health issue, that takes over 700,000 lives every year. There are different approaches to the identification and treatment of suicidal behaviour and ideation, which can help prevent suicides worldwide.

The goal of this Research Topic is to explore the different methods of identifying common demographics and biomarkers of suicide, as well as interventions and treatments for suicidality. It focuses on a global perspective and wishes to see papers focusing on a variety of different countries.
