Abstract

像大學裡的所有工作一樣,宿舍導師的工作對於促進學生發展非常重要。然而,一些研究已經闡述了住宿生活經驗中宿舍導師所遇到的挑戰。被稱為「每天24小時工作」的角色,宿舍導師需要執行各種責任,如調解衝突、執行政策、應對緊急情況、執行行政任務和提供學術支援。高需求工作的性質使宿舍導師面臨角色衝突的風險。此外,缺乏明確的工作指南會導致宿舍導師面臨角色衝突,最終可能導致倦怠、壓力和低動機。先前的研究還報告了學生普遍對宿舍導師缺乏尊重的現象。有見及此,此指南旨在提升宿舍導師的工作支援,藉由管理層的努力與改善,宿舍導師的整體工作條件和宿舍學生服務將得到進一步提升。在編寫本文時,作者對大學宿舍導師的相關主題進行了全面的文獻回顧。此外,本研究還邀請了一組專家小組進行訪談,研究設計載於下文。

University residential tutors play a critical role in supporting student development, but the job comes with significant challenges. Often considered to be on-call 24/7, tutors are responsible for mediating conflicts, enforcing policies, responding to emergencies, completing administrative tasks, and providing academic support. These high demands can cause role conflicts and make it difficult to balance competing tasks. A lack of clear guidelines exacerbates the problem, leading to burnout, stress, and low motivation. Additionally, tutors often experience a lack of respect from students, which can escalate to verbal or physical abuse. To address these challenges, this guide aims to enhance the support for university residential tutors by improving management efforts. Through these improvements, the overall working conditions for tutors and the quality of student services in university residences can be significantly improved.
