Abstract

Advancement in HD video communicating technology creates a new mode of co-teaching among teachers and students of secondary schools geographically separated in Hong Kong. We have invented an award winning HD video management system for video and audio communications via Internet. Accordingly we have conducted a 3-month mini-research project to study the affordances of using such technology for co-teaching in Hong Kong. We observed a number of positive affordances in the preliminary study and positive impacts on students, teachers as well as principals. Interestingly, we observed certain "Peer Learning" phenomenon among students from different schools during the co-teaching in addition.
