Abstract
Although China’s economy has been developing rapidly, it is still less developed than developed counties. At the same time, China has also entered a period of accelerated population aging. Statistics from the seventh national census show that the number of people over 60 in China has reached 264 million, accounting 18.7 percent of the total population (Huang, 2021). The number of Chinese aged 60 and above is expected to peak at 487 million by around 2050.
With the rapid expansion of the elderly population, the miniaturization of family structure and the emptynest trend, the traditional home-based pension and institutional pension models are severely challenged. Today, although the domestic community nursing has been actively explored, there are still many problems in this nursing model. In this topic, I try to figure out some proposed solutions.
