Abstract

Every few years, HKFWC publishes service statistics and provides recommendations on social problem trends reflected in the incoming calls. This "Women's Helpline" statistical data release covers the service data and analysis from April 2017 to March 2024. We commissioned Prof. KÜHNER Stefan and Prof. Lai Yuen-shan Ruby from the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at Lingnan University to analyze the service data over the past seven years (a total of 11,054 calls) and the main problems faced by the women seeking help, as well as their relationship to mental health.
