Abstract

This paper presents a distributed fixed-time algorithm for solving the economic dispatch problem (EDP) utilizing a stochastic event-triggered mechanism. In contrast to the existing event-triggered laws relying on sign functions in the literature, the proposed distributed algorithm converges to the optimal value with a low average communication rate. Moreover, the algorithm can consistently maintain the supply and demand balance constraint, eliminating the initial values requirement. Furthermore, the event-triggered law has been theoretically proven to avoid the Zeno behavior. Finally, simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
