Abstract

This chapter presents a reduced-order memoryless state observer for networked control system with long delays in the control vectors. Z-transform is used to deal with the long delays. By computing the residual between the output of the practical system and the output of the observer, the fault of the networked system is detected. An illustrative example shows the effectiveness of the approach. © 2007 Copyright © 2007 Elsevier Ltd All rights reserved.
