Abstract
The book Wealth and Poverty in Contemporary Brazilian Capitalism offers an excellent Marxist analysis of facets of contemporary capitalism based on the Brazilian reality of increasing polarization and impoverization in the era of neo-liberalism and dictation of social and economic policies by the far right in the government. This analysis shares many insights with a collaborative research project that started in 2011 between Brazil and China.
