從隔到不隔 : 論唐滌生編《蝶影紅梨記》(1957)

Abstract

從隔到不隔 ─ 論唐滌生編《蝶影紅梨記》(1957)劉燕萍嶺南大學中文系教授中文提要唐滌生編《蝶影紅梨記》(1957),改編自(元)《謝金蓮詩酒紅梨花》和(明)《紅梨記》。為仙鳳鳴第三屆演出劇目,1959年拍成電影。此劇別樹一幟之處在於男女主角至劇終前,才以真正身份:趙汝州、謝素秋相認。二人經歷種種分隔,主要源自「人隔」:宰相王黼因迫婚素秋,將汝州、素秋二人分隔。由強權分隔,延伸為「物隔」:男女主角被「九尺銅門」的相府分隔,咫尺天涯,未能會面。素秋需要逃避相爺迫害,以偽裝身份馮飛燕替死,以王紅蓮身份存活,並以祟鬼身份騙汝州離去。「身份隔」:素秋的三次偽裝,令汝州和素秋相逢不相識,製造不少誤會和戲劇性反諷(dramatic irony)。劇中人為限知(limited point of view)者,觀眾為全知(omniscient)者,令劇作引人入勝。衝開重重阻隔的就是汝州和素秋二人的摯情。汝州和素秋以無畏強權之心,對抗王黼。戰勝不可規避的力量(inevitability)。剷除「人隔」:王黼,乃擊退障隔之關鍵,成就才子佳人團圓的結局。關鍵詞隔 偽裝 戲劇性反諷 限知者 不可規避的力量
