Abstract

The problem of Hankel-norm model reduction is investigated for the T-S fuzzy system with time-varying delays. Our key work is to construct the reduced-order model based on a given stable system, which approximates the original system well in a specified Hankel-norm performance. On the basis of the reciprocally convex approach, an asymptotically stable condition is proposed for the corresponding error system with a Hankel-norm error performance. Then, the reduced-order model is obtained by utilizing the projection approach, which converts the model reduction into a sequential minimization problem subject to linear matrix inequality constraints.
