Abstract
This paper will discuss a specially designed thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) exciplex host to achieve white OLEDs with luminous efficacy (LE) of 164 lm W-1 with using out-coupling techniques. Before applying light extraction techniques, a forward-viewing power efficiency of 75 lm W-1 was obtained at a brightness of 150 cd m-2. The white OLED exhibits an efficacy of 63 lm/W and external quantum efficiency (ηext) of ~22%, with a CIE (x,y) coordinates of (0.40, 0.48) at a brightness of 1000 cd/m2. We anticipate that our findings have great potential to boost the LE of OLEDs, and more importantly, fulfill the power efficacy requirement for lighting applications.
