Abstract
The introduction to this special issue singles out critical terms as the biggest obstacle to the studies of Chinese theory. This concluding article looks at the other side of the coin to consider what we could achieve through key terms studies. The author reflects on his decades-long search for the inherent system of Chinese literary theory through extensive inductive research grounded in key terms studies.
