Abstract
In response to the fragmentation of human beings and prioritization of human needs, this article argues that human beings should be studied from a holistic perspective. The author points out that social participation is a basic human skills, secure significant social relationships, and develop inner capabilities. To function as social beings, all human beings should have "a minimal acceptable level of social participation."
