Abstract

Throughout Her Troubled Marriage, Laurie Willow turned to food for comfort. When the marriage ended in divorce, she faced life as a 300 pound single mother of four without a high school education. Forced to live in a shelter with her children, Laurie decided to change. She went back to school and eventually earned her masters degree in behavioral psychology. She underwent gastric bypass surgery and shed 186 pounds. With a new husband and a new life, she made one final decision. She went to a plastic surgeon for a full body lift, a procedure that removes pounds of unsightly excess skin from people who have lost large amounts of weight.
