Occupational stress among school teachers : a review of research findings relevant to policy formation

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review the research literature on occupational stress among schoolteachers in other countries and in Hong Kong so as to identify policy changes that can potentially reduce levels of stress among Hong Kong teachers. Though the major advantages and disadvantages of potential changes are briefly discussed, they are presented primarily to encourage further analysis and debate.
