Abstract

Many developed countries have successfully implemented a system granting nurses prescription rights. However, in China, these rights are still under strict regulation. With the growing number of specialist nurses and nursing clinics, as well as increasing medical needs in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, expanding the prescription rights of specialist nurses is essential. This study examines the policies regarding nurse prescription rights both domestically and internationally in recent years. It also explores the progress of nurse prescription rights policies in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, evaluating and analyzing existing policies to identify differences in policy adjustments and implementation details between the two regions. The aim is to provide recommendations for improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare in both areas.
