Abstract
Recently, Iqbal Masud published in the Express Magazine (October 30, 1988) a carefully constructed polemic against 'left-liberal intellectuals' like Salman Rushdie, accusing them of not listening to the voice of the people. We are disturbed by the insidious implications of Masud's arguments.
