Abstract

The article discusses the appointment of Tung Chee-hwa as chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in China. According to the author, the Chinese government manipulated his appointment which makes the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) attain remarkable achievement in the history of the People's Republic of China. It also made him the notable political puppet of CCP and his different business and family background is perceived to be a political suicide on his part. In addition, his achievements depends on his ability to balance the unstable condition of SAR government.
