Abstract
This chapter proposes that the theory of cooperation and competition can help understand, develop and manage interdependence within and between organizations to facilitate these reforms and contribute to Chinese society and people. We also argue that the theory does not impose Western values and practices, but that Chinese people can use the theory to help them express their values and beliefs and develop their practices so that they are appropriate and effective for them and for their society.
