Abstract
This chapter explores the design and application of an innovative AI-powered translation platform that integrates ChatGPT for translation training and feedback. The platform combines translation, post-editing, and evaluation functions to create a comprehensive learning environment. A theoretical background contextualizes the work within current AI applications in translation and language learning. The chapter details the platform’s design, highlighting its user and administrator interfaces, and discusses its potential applications in translation teaching and research. A pilot study provides empirical insights into students’ engagement with ChatGPT-generated feedback, revealing both strengths and limitations of AI in translation pedagogy. The authors critically examine challenges, ethical considerations, and future directions for AI integration in translation education. This research contributes to the ongoing dialogue about AI’s role in translation studies and offers a practical framework for leveraging ChatGPT in translation pedagogy.
