Abstract
當代超個人心理學家、整合哲學家肯恩‧威爾伯（Ken Wilber）建立了一個龐大的理論系統，不單解釋法界（Kosmos）―包括物理、生物、心靈及神理領域―的結構及演化，還解釋個體的外在行為及內在意向、群體的制度及文化的發展。就個體的內在意向來說，威爾伯將人類意識的進化過程，分列為九個階段，層層上升，以至於神性。
唐君毅在《生命存在與心靈境界》一書中亦提出心靈九境說，九境可以次第上下轉易。本文嘗試對上述二人的境界觀，作出比觀，用意不僅在於對照每一境在內容上的差異，更在於揭示在中西方不同傳統下，哲人對人類心靈可以達致的廣度與深度方面是否有着相近的理解，從而開啟新儒學與當代西方心理學之間對話的平台。
